If you're driven by the thrill of discovery and the mission to save lives, you are welcome!

Team
Meet the passionate minds driving our cancer research forward

Sangeeta is the Principal Investigator (PI) who leads this dynamic lab dedicated for blending clinical insight with molecular radiobiology to improve patient outcomes. With an MBBS, MD in Radiation Oncology, and PhD (from Japan), Sangeeta's expertise in clinical and molecular radiobiology from rigorous training at the forefront of global oncology. Her research journey at Gunma University Heavy Ion Centre (GHMC), Gunma University (Japan), Proton Therapy Center, SAPPORO High Functioning Radiotherapy Center SAFRA, Teishinkai Hospital, Sapporo (Japan) & Molecular Radiation Oncology Lab, Harvard Medical School (HMS) in Boston (USA), equipped her with the tools to bridge molecular biology (specifically on particle radiobiology) and clinical oncology. As a clinician-scientist, she doesn't just theorise; she aims translating lab findings into real-world treatments, mentoring the next generation of researchers in an environment that thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and fearless experimentation. When not engaged in Science, she likes to spend time with family in the form of travelling, gardening and also in creative writing in her native language (Assamese).
Dr. Sangeeta Kakoti
Varsha is currently working as a Medical Research Associate, playing crucial roles in ongoing clinical trials. With a BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery)and a MSc in Dietetics, followed by Diploma in Clinical Research; her research focuses on hematolymphoid malignancies, where she works to improve treatment outcomes and reduce toxicity through evidence-based, patient-centric approaches. She supports high-quality clinical trials with a strong emphasis on compliance and operational excellence, while aspiring to lead breakthroughs that transform global healthcare. Outside the lab, she enjoys swimming, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Committed to advancing science that truly benefits patients, She brings rigor, insight, and passion to oncology research.
Dr. Varsha Mishra
Manasi is currently serving as a Project Technical Assistant. She holds an MSc and BSc in Biotechnology and is actively engaged in translational oncology research focused on hematolymphoid malignancies. Her research interest includes elucidating molecular mechanisms of therapeutic resistance and evaluating radiation therapy outcomes, and exploring the potential of phytochemicals to reduce treatment-related cytotoxicity. Driven by a commitment to bridge laboratory discoveries with clinical application, she aims to contribute to innovative cancer therapies that enhance treatment efficacy and improve patients’ quality of life. In her free time she enjoys singing, modelling, dancing and participating in cultural activities.
Manasi G Abhyankar
Abu Hashim
Abu is working as a Clinical Research Coordinator. He holds an MSc in Biotechnology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research. With a patient-centric approach, he specialises in coordinating oncology clinical trials, ensuring precision in study management and adherence to the highest quality standards. His primary interest lies in advancing cancer research through well-designed clinical studies that translate into improved treatment decisions and patient outcomes. Committed to bridging research and real-world impact, he strives to contribute to high-quality trials that enhance therapeutic pathways and quality of life for cancer patients. Outside work, he enjoys travelling, exploring nature, learning new skills, and playing indoor games.
Rutika Nikam

Renuga U
Renuga is the latest entrant into the team, in the form of a Research Assistant. With an MSc and a BSc in Biomedical Science, she is a biomedical researcher specializing in molecular biology and cancer research. Currently, her work in translational oncology involves developing chemo-resistant B-cell lymphoma models and evaluating radiation-mediated CD20 upregulation to enhance Rituximab-based therapy. Her Research interests include cancer biology, B-cell lymphomas, monoclonal antibody-based immunotherapy, drug resistance mechanisms, tumor immunology, and translational cancer research. She prioritises rigorous experimental design, reproducibility, and mechanistic understanding, while thriving in collaborative settings and learning new techniques. Aspiring to advance in cancer immunotherapy, she seeks to translate lab findings into clinical improvements for patients. Beyond research, Renuga enjoys yoga, badminton, drawing, crafting, and writing magazine content.

Rutika is working on a few interesting clinical trials, while doing her Research Internship (as a Clinical Research Coordinator). Pursuing an MSc in Microbiology, she is passionate about oncology research with a focus on developing novel therapeutic strategies and understanding relapse patterns to improve disease management and long-term patient outcomes. She is committed to integrating scientific innovation with compassionate, patient-centric care, aiming to contribute to cancer treatments that enhance both survival rates and quality of life. Outside the lab, she enjoys poetry, creative writing, and choreography. She in fact has a published poetry book to her credit (Soulthatspeaksss-Rhythms of an Eternal Soul).
